The Snow Series

Hello! We have been enjoying life in our new town of Brookfield, Wisconsin. (Although we greatly miss our friends back in Minneapolis of course!) 

We are just wrapping up a kitchen remodel which is one of the final areas that we are updating! I’ve been working on this house for almost 9 months now!

My dad and I hung the upper cabinets today. Once we finish those - we just need some shelves, a backsplash and hopefully  the electrician will be back to put in the light fixtures!

I do hope to share some blog posts about our home once it is all cleaned up and finished! I love before & after photos so I can’t wait to share mine!

I’ve been happy to have more time for photos now that the house projects are slowing down. I’ve been popping over to the local parks to play in the snow. I think I will just keep doing that as much as I can before it melts!

(Ice) Field of Dreams Happy 2017!

Hello! When we arrived at the cabin earlier this week we were amazed to see the lake was frozen over but did not have any snow on it yet! My hockey-loving husband had so much fun turning the lake into his personal rink... I decided to try to capture it with my drone..

Thanks to @pranamgurung for editing my drone footage. I definitely have "learning to professionally edit videos" as a NYE resolution!

Leinie Friday

Leinenkugels reached out three different people in a three different cities (San Diego, Denver and myself here in Minneapolis) and asked us to make a video showing how we would spend a perfect day off in our city. 

It is part of their campaign promoting people to take a "Leinie Friday."

I asked my friend Pranam - videographer extrodinaire - to collaborate with me.

We had the most amazing day! I got a babysitter and took a full "me" day!  I met my husband for a picnic and mini golf, toured the Minihaha Falls and Stone Arch Bridge with Pranam, went paddleboarding with friends and took in a Twin's baseball game!

Whew! A true Leinie Friday filled with fun! It was a great day and we enjoyed some well earned Leinenkugel Summer Shandies at the end. Here is the long version of the video we created:
