Family Photographer

I absolutely love capturing local families, high schooler seniors, kids & pets. For photoshoots I use a Canon 6D DSLR & Lightroom.

I enjoy partnering with local companies as well as numerous tourism departments + resorts + travel brands to tell their story with strong visuals and an authentic voice.

I am the Director of a local program called the Art of Edina which places community art in public places such as Southdale Center, Galleria and Braemar Arena. The project is funded by Tradition Companies. Visit or read my previous blog post, "The Story Behind The Art of Edina" to learn more.

I am also the creator and co-chair of Minnstameets. We organize photo-centric get togethers & art shows for Minnesota's Instagram community.  We've held events with the Minnesota Twins, Mall of America, the Star Tribune, the Walker Art Museum, MIA, Explore Minnesota and many other great local organizations!

Teacher, Lecturer and Author

I am a "Master Teacher" at the iPhonePhotography School which receives over 2.2 million page per year. Every three months I produce 6 short instructional videos for their students. I critique the students' photos, provide challenges and more. I also write articles. See examples of my articles here.

I have written articles for other publications as well such as Hayo Magazine and iPhone Life which can be found at Barnes and Noble.

About once a month or so I find myself giving a lecture. I have lectured at church group meetings, business owner conferences, corporate strategy meetings, agencies, artist lecture series and photography classes including the University of Minnesota. The topics are usually based off of audience needs and requests however most of the time I cover one or a few of the following: social media growth, social media marketing strategies, my personal story, and, of course, iPhone Photography.

I enjoy creating whimsical imagery. I like to think I toe-the-line between realism and surrealism. I like to take "real" photos that look edited and create "edited" photos that look real. I predominantly use my iPhone to shoot and edit my photos because that's what I usually have in my pocket.

However, the occasional DSLR and drone photo, Lightroom and Photoshop edits get shared as well.

Truthfully, it doesn't really matter to me which camera or software I use... I care most about the final outcome.   I enjoy experimenting with new editing apps.

I also devote time to learning new Photoshop advance editing techniques. (Note: for commercial & family sessions I use my DSLR.)

For a long time I have sold my art in an online shop on this site. I have taken that page down. It felt a bit stagnant. I intend on creating some new art that will be available for retail later this year.

My art has been featured in various publications and galleries. This is not the most up to date list, but click here to find a gathering of some interviews, shows, etc.
